“House Noah” was designed as a bio-climatical demonstrational building on the northern slopes of the Rhodope Mountains in the village of Izvor, Municipality Plovdiv, Bulgaria. This project was my first big-scale timber construction with wooden joinery and carved details. A demonstration of natural building techniques such as Stone masonry, COB, Light Clay, and Straw Bales. We developed a couple of different recipes for the clay plasters, according to the base on which they will be applied as finishes. By integrating thermal and humidity sensors in the different walls, we developed a monitoring system to measure the benefits of natural-based materials in the buildings
