The Tea Ceremony House is dedicated to and celebrates the Indian culture of growing, harvesting, preparing, and drinking Assam tea and Darjeeling tea.
The property where the Tea Ceremony House is built is located in the National Park Pench, Nagpur, India, where the local comunity respect nature in every aspect, every moment, every bite and drop of water matter. It’s a world, where a group of stones are sacrete place and there is no wast. That’s why tea ceremony house was designed as a temple, to celebrate this common for everyone moment under one roof.
Build on 1.2m brick foundation, teak construction was raised to accomodate all the facilities, similar to the traditional Japanese tea ceremony houses.
Bamboo mats and clay plasters formed the walls for outside and inside. Traditional earthen floor, smoothly gives the feeling of beeing in nature’s hug while being served and enjoying the sunset with fresh cup of tea.
